In recent years, the School of Education has carefully developed a number of online and hybrid degree programs that offer students the same high-quality experience and personal attention that characterizes our on-campus programs. Using advanced learning technologies and taught by regular School of Education faculty, these programs allow working professionals to attain graduate degrees in education and counseling while continuing to work full-time and without relocating to Williamsburg.
Executive Ed.D. Programs
Designed for practicing and aspiring school leaders, our executive programs allow educators to earn a doctorate in educational leadership in as little as three years. The program combines online coursework with short on-campus residencies to give students the flexibility to continue working as they study. The Executive Ed.D. in Educational Policy, Planning and Leadership offers concentrations in gifted administration, higher education administration, K-12 administration, and school psychology.
Online Counseling Programs
Our CACREP-accredited Online Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling offers concentrations in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and Military and Veterans Counseling. Taught by the same faculty who lead our on-campus program, our online degrees offer students the same rigor and excellence in a more flexible format. With a special focus on social justice, students in our online programs gain the skills, confidence and experience to enter the field as highly competent counseling professionals.
