Tisa Mason, Ed.D. ’13, recently received a Pillar of the Profession Award from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). This award honors teachers, leaders, and scholars who have achieved professional distinction in the field of higher education, served in a leadership role for NASPA, and demonstrated extraordinary service.
Mason is currently serving as the president of Valley City State University in Valley City, North Dakota. After earning her doctorate in higher education administration from William & Mary in 1993, she led in a variety of student affairs roles across many institutions and also taught as an assistant professor at Christopher Newport University.
