Kathleen Ricards Hopkins, Ed.D., 1996, EPPL/Special Education, author of, Teaching How to Learn in a What-to-Learn Culture, lives and works in Hampton Roads. Kathy has been the Executive Director of NILD, The National Institute for Learning Development, in Norfolk Virginia since 1991. NILD is an international organization dedicated to meeting the needs of students who have difficulty learning. NILD offers an intervention to educators and schools with one-on-one educational therapy or group educational therapy. Kathy presents workshops on learning development nationally and internationally to teachers through NILD in-services and conferences.
